Design investigation

unfortunately, CS4 needs to be updated by a license which i can not get sine I am under 25. Now we are looking at two sites which are miniclip.com sketch star and createorconquer.com, we are designing the game on both sites and then choose one of them depending on how good they are.

the good things about sketch star is:

- easy to use and its free
- the best program for under 14

the bad things about it:

- VERYYYYYYYY limited tools and animation choices
-the pages are limited
-complicated steps for publishing/saving
-the pages are small so you can not make a big wide game.

HORRAY I SAY i found a solution of using CS4, the game is now under testing at my home, and as i said i spended the whole day searching and trying to solve our problem. i searched at the library in break lunch, home and on the IT lessons and i finally solved it. the game is still not published yet, im testing it and adding backgrounds, animation and so far its good.

1- i designed 30 scripts of moving. (under progress 46% done)

2- i animated them fully. (still under progress 10% done)

3- i went to miniclip and did some sketches and designs to get an i dea.

4- i looked at other designs.

by the next weekned i should have finished at least 60 to 70 percent in each step. I'll bring some screen shots tommorrow on my working.

planing for project: antibullying

well at the start we came up with GREAT plans and ideas, i thought that it would be easy using my flash CS4 but, unfortunately it did not. i designed the pictures the background and the animation but then when i tried to publish it, i did not find any software to do it. For now we are thinking of changing the plan, I'm still waiting in case of a HOPE or a help of some one. i will try my best in searching and i will not give up until i do my best.

Our plan is we will have 5 characters, first we will have three bullies and one who is the victim, after he gets bullied a teacher comes (T-man) he first take the ruler of justice ( ordinary tall ruler) and slap their hands, then they shout "is that the best you can do T-man" and he goes "paper of doom" (detention slips) so they take it and flip it over and see the word "DETENTION" so they all fall down, then he stands up proudly then his pants falls off.

anlyzing anti bullying websites

one of the websites i like is http://pbskids.org/itsmylife/friends/bullies/, it has a lot of examples and simple explanation for bullying, here is a screen shots for the websites.



the site is explaining all kinds of bullying, weather it was a girl or a boy, a teen age or a a child. the site also include how to deal with such things and it also have a bottoms for a poll voting for what to do when your getting bullied.

 

For some people, bullying is that girl at school who always makes fun of them. For others, it's the biggest guy in the neighborhood who's always trying to beat them up or take their things. Another kind of bullying is when a group of people gang up against a boy.

There are many types of bullying, one of them is Physical bullying like:

    * Hitting, kicking, or pushing someone...or even just threatening to do it

    * Stealing, hiding or ruining someone's things

    * Making someone do things he or she don't want to do 

Verbal bullying like:

    * Name-calling

    * Teasing

    * Insulting 

Relationship bullying like:

    * Refusing to talk to someone

    * Spreading lies or rumors about someone

    * Making someone do things he or she doesn't want to do

 site is similar to the other one, but the first one has more information. Basically the site explains how to deal with bullies and what to do when a bully starts to annoy you. 

I myself prefer the first one.

iweb was working great but, unfortunately the HTML snippet and navigation bottoms were not working as the picture shows below.


iweb had alot of features, more than than i expected, it was amazing and good quality program. i recommend anyone who wants to make a site, use iweb.

i tried to follow the information cycle as much as possible, but i think i focused on investigation, create and attitude.

in investigation, wildfire is a small subject and i spent over three lessons to search, then i stored it at either my google documents or delicious.

in create, i changed the font to arial with red color, i also added a lot of pictures and examples, i have emergency plan, what to do incase of a wildfire and even more.

in plan, i graped a paper and drew the possible design that i had in mind, but at last i modfied it, such as the vidoes were changed and the introduction.

the deisgn is pretty much good, i tried to make it the same as my sketched one, i only modified some parts of it, such as videos and the order of the pages.
